Collection "Birch Stories" – Scent: Orchid, Lavender
Nature prepares for spring all winter long. Near my house, birches grow, and it’s fascinating to observe that birch catkins fear neither frost nor snow - they purposefully stretch longer. If you focus on a birch catkin up close, with bluish-green ice shimmering in the background, you can capture a stunning photo showing the catkins seemingly splitting winter apart. I’ve infused these feelings of ice-breaking into the soap painting collection 'Birch Stories,' adding the invigoratingly gentle scent of orchid and lavender.
The size of the soap painting is 8 x 5.5 x 2 cm. In this collection, each soap painting is unique, so no two are alike. Which one from the collection you’ll receive will be my random choice. The soap painting isn’t just an elegant decor item for your bathroom or kitchen - it’s highly practical too, as these are classic hand soaps made from coconut oil and shea butter soap bases by the Latvian company 'Forbury,' with added perfumery dyes, shimmer, natural essential oils, and fragrance oils. The soap’s ingredients, weight, production date, and expiration date are listed on the label at the bottom of the packaging box. For your convenience, the label is also included as a photo in the gallery.
The soap painting from the 'Birch Stories' collection is also available in a set with a soap dish designed and crafted by Dzērbene woodworker Roberts Neilands, which we’ve playfully named 'Dēlīt’s.' For the 'Birch Stories' collection soap painting, the best match is a 'Dēlīt’s' made from light ash. The soap dish is treated with tung oil, preventing water from seeping into the wood and preserving its original appearance for a long time. My creative collaboration with Roberts came about naturally, as he is my cousin’s partner.
