Fragments. Tumbler (20 h). Aroma: Silk Touch
Fragments are part of something larger. A fragment sparks the imagination because the mind wants to conjure up the whole. While hiking through forgotten and abandoned places, I’ve noticed that the tooth of time loves to create interesting patterns. One such moment of patterns and the feelings I experienced at the Liepna Manor brewery in the Alūksne region is captured in the "Fragments" collection. I created this collection together with Elīna Muceniece. The base of all the vessels is made of white concrete, used in classic collections, enriched with stones and wood fragments from Liepna, fine gravel, pebbles, and a layer of rust.
The tumbler, with its clean form and striking accent, adds an element of nature’s strength to the space, imbued with an aura of ancient charm and the mystery of a lost world. It fits perfectly into an interior as an eye-catching and self-sufficient decorative piece. The natural soy wax candle, with an aroma named "Silk Touch," fills the room with notes of ginger, magnolia, and plum.
As the candle burns, the concrete tumbler warms up, ensuring that the candle always burns out completely, leaving no soy residue on the vessel’s walls. After the candle has burned out, you can safely place any other candle in the glass, or, after cleaning it, use it as an interior object and adapt it to your own preferences, such as a sturdy vase.
The tumblers’s upper outer diameter is 8.5 cm, height is 11.5 cm, soy wax weight is 180 g, the total weight of the candle is 790 g, and the burning time is 20 hours. Design by Kārlis Anitens and Elīna Muceniece.
