Timeless Hue. Black Bowl (55h). Aroma: Noble Lemon
Old paint has a special charm—it cracks, forms its own patterns, and the painted surface gains a new aura. Once, during a hike in Latgale near the dense Kuprava forest, my hiking companions and I stumbled upon a long-abandoned house. Its cracked black and white paint created a fascinating collage that served as inspiration for the "Timeless Hue" collection. I created this collection together with Elīna Muceniece. In the vessels crafted by Elīna, I painted using a special cracking paint technique, deliberately preserving the brushstrokes.
The large bowl, with its classic shape and eccentric design, will bring the atmosphere of an ancient, enduring story to any space. It fits perfectly into both modern and vintage interiors as an eye-catching and self-sufficient decorative piece. The natural soy wax candle, with an aroma named "Noble Lemon," fills the room with notes of lemon and juniper.
As the candle burns, the concrete bowl warms up, ensuring the candle burns completely without leaving soy residue on the bowl’s walls. After the candle has burned out, the bowl can safely hold another candle, or, once cleaned, be repurposed as an interior item for uses such as storing non-food items, depending on your preference.
The bowl has an upper outer diameter of 17.5 cm, a height of 8.5 cm, a soy wax weight of 500 g, a total candle weight of 1,670 g, and a burning time of 55 hours. Design by Kārlis Anitens and Elīna Muceniece.
