SIA "Kārlis Anitens", registration number 40103671539, Dignājas iela 3-6A, Rīga, LV-1004, hereinafter referred to as the online store, provides the content available on the website karlisanitens.lv and offers goods/services in accordance with the Terms of Use outlined below.
1. General Terms
If a consumer purchases goods/services through the website, such an agreement is considered a Distance Contract and is subject to the laws of the Republic of Latvia governing distance contracts, including, but not limited to, the "Consumer Rights Protection Law" of the Republic of Latvia, the Cabinet of Ministers regulations "Regulations on Distance Contracts," and others. The online store has the right to unilaterally change the content and terms of use of the website www.karlisanitens.lv at any time. Such changes become effective after being published on the website www.karlisanitens.lv. By starting to use the website www.karlisanitens.lv or by performing any activity on the website, it will be considered that you have read and agree to the terms in effect at the time of use. Every user of the website has an obligation to regularly review the terms to be informed about any changes made to them. If you disagree with the terms, you are prohibited from using the website. Users of the website www.karlisanitens.lv have the right to use the offered opportunities and services at the price applicable at the time of offering the respective service. SIA "Kārlis Anitens" reserves the right to change the prices listed on the website www.karlisanitens.lv and/or create new paid services at any time at its discretion. To become a registered user of the online store, the registration procedure set on the website www.karlisanitens.lv must be followed. Each registered user of the online store is obliged to keep their access data confidential. If activities are performed on the website www.karlisanitens.lv using a registered user profile (including purchasing goods and/or services) with the correct username and password, it will be assumed that the actions in the respective profile were carried out by the registered user themselves. When requesting SIA "Kārlis Anitens" or a person representing it to make changes to an incomplete registered order, please note that changes can only be requested by sending an email to [email protected] from the email address specified in the order or by contacting SIA "Kārlis Anitens" by calling the phone number provided in the order at 29462612. Using the website www.karlisanitens.lv does not grant any property rights to its content, and users have the right to access it. It is prohibited to use the content of information posted on the website www.karlisanitens.lv unless permitted by the content owner or otherwise authorized according to the applicable laws of the Republic of Latvia. These terms do not grant the right to use any text, brand, logo, or photograph included on the website www.karlisanitens.lv. It is also prohibited to remove, obscure, or alter any notices displayed on the website. The website www.karlisanitens.lv displays product content and descriptions and other information that is the property of SIA "Kārlis Anitens." In relation to the services used, SIA "Kārlis Anitens" has the right to send notifications, reminders about ongoing but incomplete services, and other information to the provided email address to improve the quality of the services. SIA "Kārlis Anitens" also has the right to send information about updates on www.karlisanitens.lv and news, promotions, and discounts from SIA "Kārlis Anitens" business partners.
2. Making a Purchase
The prices and specifications of the products sold in the online store are displayed next to the products, and in some cases, additional information is available in the product’s photo gallery. Although the photographs next to the products in the online store are taken by photographing the respective items, some products may slightly differ from what is shown in the photographs, as each product available in the online store is a unique handcrafted item. Therefore, the photographs have an illustrative purpose in a legal sense.
To place an order, add the desired products to the shopping cart. Fill in all the necessary fields and choose the most suitable delivery method. The total cost of the order with delivery will then be displayed on the screen. Complete the payment to finalize the order.
3. Payment Terms
The currency for transactions on the website is Euro. Purchases can be paid for using the following payment methods provided by the payment platform makecommerce.lv, Maksekeskus AS:
- Latvian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Citadele, and Luminor
- Estonian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, Luminor
- Lithuanian internet bank payments: Swedbank, SEB, and Luminor

- Transfer to the account of SIA "Kārlis Anitens" from any other bank account based on the order-invoice issued by the online store karlisanitens.lv, indicating the order number in the payment order. After paying the order-invoice, it is possible to receive an electronic final invoice.
When using internet banking as a payment method, confirm the order and click on the "Return to Merchant" button.
Personal data required for payment processing is transferred to the licensed payment institution Maksekeskus AS.
The contract is considered valid once the payment has been successfully made to the online store's bank account. If, for any reason, the order cannot be fulfilled, the Buyer will be notified, and the paid amount will be refunded as soon as possible, but no later than 14 days after receiving the notification.
4. Delivery Terms
Products, except for items from the "Plant Terrariums 'My World'" section, are delivered to the following European Union countries: Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Greece, Croatia, Ireland, Italy, Cyprus, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Finland, Spain, Hungary, Germany, and Sweden as well as to the following countries outside the European Union: Great Britain, USA, Iceland. The goods can also be shipped to countries not listed above. For shipping costs to a country not listed above, please email [email protected]. The purchased products are delivered using the following services: SIA "Omniva" or "DPD" parcel lockers and courier services; SIA "Kārlis Anitens" direct delivery services to the following administrative territories in the Republic of Latvia: Riga, Jurmala, Jelgava, Marupe district, Olaine district, Kekava district, Salaspils district, Ropazi district, and Adazi district; Individual product collection at SIA "Kārlis Anitens" legal address in Riga, Dignājas iela 3-6A, during working days by prior agreement on the pickup time via written or phone communication. Products from the "Plant Terrariums 'My World'" section are only delivered via SIA "Kārlis Anitens" direct delivery services to the following administrative territories in the Republic of Latvia: Riga, Jurmala, Jelgava, Marupe district, Olaine district, Kekava district, Salaspils district, Ropazi district, and Adazi district, or through individual product collection at SIA "Kārlis Anitens" legal address in Riga, Dignājas iela 3-6A, during working days by prior agreement on the pickup time via written or phone communication. All duties and taxes that need to be paid to receive the shipment at the destination are the responsibility of the Buyer. Delivery costs are displayed before confirming the order. Purchased products are prepared for dispatch and shipped the next business day after full payment is made for the order. If the order is not paid within 5 calendar days, it will be canceled. Purchased products are delivered to the address specified by the Buyer within 1 to 30 business days, depending on the workload of the delivery service provider. In exceptional cases, we reserve the right to send products within up to 45 calendar days, notifying the customer about this.
5. Right of Withdrawal
The Buyer has the right to withdraw from the purchase of unused goods within 14 calendar days, except for products from the "Soap Paintings" section of the store, due to hygiene reasons. When returning the purchased item, the Buyer must present a document confirming the purchase. The online store undertakes to refund the money within 10 business days. If the products are used inappropriately or damaged, handled carelessly during use, or the instructions for use are not followed, or if the original packaging of the product is lost or significantly damaged, the online store has the right to reduce the refund amount according to the decrease in the product's value. To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must submit a withdrawal form, which can be found here: [Withdrawal Form]. The withdrawal form must be sent to the email address: [email protected]. The right of withdrawal does not apply if the Buyer is a legal entity. The Buyer bears the cost of returning the product, except when the reason for the return is that the product does not match the order (e.g., incorrect or damaged product).
The Buyer's obligation is to return the goods to the Seller without delay, but no later than 14 days after sending the withdrawal form to the online store. Upon receiving the returned goods, the online store will refund all payments received from the Buyer based on the Distance Contract, without delay, but no later than 14 days.
The Seller has the right to withhold the payment until the goods are received from the Buyer or until the Buyer provides proof of the return of the goods. If the Buyer has chosen a shipping method other than the cheapest shipping option offered by the online store, the online store is not obligated to reimburse the excess shipping costs.
The online store is not responsible for delays in performance or non-performance, or any other form of non-performance, resulting from circumstances and obstacles beyond the reasonable control of the online store.
The online store reserves the right to refuse to sell products and request the return of goods from the Buyer if the price indicated in the online store is significantly lower than the market price due to an error.
6. Consumer Rights for Non-Conforming Goods
The online store is responsible for any non-conformity of goods sold to the Buyer or for any defects that arise within 6 months from the date of delivery to the customer or that existed at the time of delivery, provided that this assumption is not in contradiction with the nature or defects of the item. The Buyer must inform the Seller about the non-conformity of the goods immediately, within 2 months after discovering it, i.e., by submitting a complaint. The Buyer can submit a complaint by contacting the online store via email at [email protected].
The online store is not responsible for defects that occur after the goods have been delivered to the Buyer. If the purchased goods have defects for which the Seller is responsible, the Buyer has the right to request the repair of the defects or exchange the goods for new ones free of charge.
If the goods cannot be repaired or replaced, the Seller will refund the Buyer all payments made under the Distance Contract. The Seller will respond in writing to the consumer’s complaint within 15 days.
7. Processing of the Buyer's Personal Data
The online store processes only the personal data that the Buyer has entered when placing an order, such as name, surname, email address, etc.
The online store may share personal data with transportation service providers to ensure the delivery of goods.
If you have explicitly agreed to receive our marketing communications, including news and updates, we may occasionally contact you by sending information about our services and latest offers. For this purpose, we may process the email address you provided when signing up for marketing communications. The Buyer has the option to opt-out of marketing communications by notifying us via email at [email protected].
8. Dispute Resolution
In matters not covered by these terms and conditions, the Buyer and the Seller agree to comply with the applicable regulations of the Republic of Latvia.
Both parties will attempt to resolve any disputes between the Seller and the Buyer through mutual discussions or correspondence. If the dispute cannot be resolved through discussions or correspondence, the parties will resolve the dispute in the courts of the Republic of Latvia, in accordance with the laws of Latvia. Disputes between the Buyer (consumer) and the Seller can be referred to the Consumer Rights Protection Centre or the courts of the Republic of Latvia.
The Buyer also has the right to address disputes to the European Union dispute resolution bodies.
